Bethany and Lake George with Turkeys and frogs and split wood in July.

The pile of cut down trees ready to be split for next winter at Tim and Barba's home, Bethany, Connecticut, USA

Tim, the splitter and a days hard labour - 2 cords of wood!

Meantime, Tim's Toyota Camry had reached 354,000 miles and a few serious problems so he looked at this!

After 2 Sam Adams Summer Ale and a bottle of White, he decided to purchase the Subaru Outlander. Took some persuading him that all-wheel drive was better for the Winter and hauling stuff.

Sunrise at 535 Carrington Road Bethany. 05.15 on a magic Summer's day in Bethany, Ct

Yes, wild Turkeys and 6 young in the yard as we sat in the kitchen nook watching them watching us watching them!

Craig's company in the Adirondacks. He is doing all the formwork and concrete work at Tim and Barbara's lake house in Hague on Lake George in the North Country. Craig is the Grandson of Ranger Bob Newton who was Ranger at Curtis S. Read Scout Camp in Brant Lake where I did Summer Camps in 1986/7/8, 1993/6. Like this logo.

And here it is. Tim's new Subaru Outlander. Awesome vehicle. Good for 350 000 miles too!

One of the few stores in Hague. Very typical North Country architecture. All wood of course.

The 'Fire House' restaurant in Hague where Tim and I indulged on the first night in Hague before the family arrived.

Awesome cloud formations and colour before the storm over Lake George.

We go to WALMART to buy groceries and saw this wine. Well, so we thought. Look closely and it says 'Wine Product'! It has got some wine in it somewhere and as you can see on the left, a whole lot of other stuff which is bound to kill you quicker than wine ever will! So much for the wine. We went to the Liquor outlet for that! Only here in the USA.

And so the construction of Tim and Barb's new Lake House continues. Forming for the reinforced basement walls. The back one is 17 feet high due to the slope.

More of my favourite Hosta plant. This is a young one with magnificent leaves. Just look at the size. Yes it was Firday, hence the SACS OB attire. Did not feel like having a tie on.

July 4th in Ticondaroga on the Northern tip of  Lake George. I took about 20 and these ones came out okay. Timing was critical and I sure missed some.

Tim, his brother Bob and I went to Jake's Pond on top of the mountain at Lake George to hike a bit. Beautiful and tranquell with much wildlife both in and around the lake.

A pair of the many mushrooms near Jake's Pond.

One of the many frogs at Jake's Pond. Beautiful speciman.

Bob flyfishing as we hiked. Not much luck. Far more luck in Lake George.

One of Craig's trucks on the job at the new Lake House.

Back in Bethany and the finished 9 cords of split timber under a tarp due to impending rain.

The final haul for the Winter of 2014/15. The furnace will be fully supplied for the Haag's to stay warm. I did my good deed to pay for food and lodging for such a long time with Tim and Barb who are two of the most generous people you will ever meet. The journey continues.
