Germany the first time.

Mark Kilham and I at Milena's flat before heading out for beers and a meal. First time since 2001. Mark is an investment advisor for a big concern in Europe. Just moved from Brussels. So good to see him.

Magic breakfast set out by Milena. She is such a magic host and promoter of the city of Munich. She is a medical doctor who has worked in remote places around the world. I met her at Doug and Christin Rohde's wedding in 2001 in Syracuse NY. She and  Christine met in Lamborene in the Congo while working at the Albert Schweitzer clinic.

Milena and I. She is gorgeous.

On the ICE train to Hamburg.

Just a German home through the train window.

Another view from the window.

Loved the contrast in the field from bright green to ploughed brown. So straight, so German.

Corn (Mileie) field alongside the track.

View of solar field. The sheep graze below it as they would in an open field.

Small German town along the way.

Trying to get shots of the hundreds of Windmills for generating electricity. Germany is a leader in natural energy

Another solar field.

A better view of one of the hunf\dreds of solar fields I saw.

Some more impressive windmils

Closer to the railroad.

Arrival in Hamburg on the ICE

A bike in Roger's shop. A Bellitanner. One of his general line of bikes.

Some more Bellitanners

A take for an inexpensive Bellitanner - the NYC.

A 'weigh nothing' frame for a Pearl bike

Roger Tanner's shop in Hamburg

Pearl logo.

The top of the line frame that weighs less than nothing!

Had lunch with the Tanners at Yak and Yeti. Fabulous oriental foods.

Mural on a building supply store in Hamburg which I took on my 8 km ramble.

We need this Ford S-Max in SA. Passed Grant and I when we were going 206 kph as though we were standing still!

My SAS plane after missing my night flight to OSLO and having to stay over in Brussels at the Holiday Inn. Brussels airline were late for every single flight. They put me on SAS for Oslo.

I am not amused!

I needed this in Brussels. Now off to Oslo. This wonderful crazy journey continues.
