Another stunning morning at SACS as I work in the OBU office with Sandy. This was a short chapter as I was still looking for a teaching position, if not at SACS, then so be it, but I need to teach some more.

Early moning over the mountains toward the Boland

Another stunning morning and that majestic mountain ingrained into my soul

and good for my soul, my brother Michael's Bobotie. Nothing better.

The first Strelitzia in my brother and sster-in-law's garden

My life, or part of it, in boxes!

Old Boys Golf Day at Westlake.

OBU Chairman and great friend, Alan 'Footie' Footman hamming it up again at the SACS OBU Golf Day.

Listening intently to the results!

Zandvlei as we went on a Sunday morning ramble.

Another of the streams entering Zandvlei. So amazing to go there with a guide and see something so unique, so new right on our doorstep.

Another stunning Strelizia in Michael and Maddies garden.

This was an abandoned Bogainvillia at Ferndale which I resurrected

Some of the new flowers looking bright and starry.

This building has a place in my heart and in my soul. Majestic and full of the sounds of the voices and songs of my  years at SACS. I love it for the many voices of all the SACS men that have 'Taken their seat' in this great hall.

And this majestic and inspirational mountian again. It moves me.

And now my new home of teaching. ISHB. Main quadrangle for all sorts of activities with 'astro' lawn.

Principle Quadrangle at ISHB with indigenous trees and plants. The gardens are all full of indigenous plants of the region as it is a heritage site.

Junior School section quadrangle with climbing walls.

My MYC2 Geography class - my first at ISHB.

View from the other side of the room.

Oystercatcher and two Cape Black Footed Penguins on The Beach at the Aquarium

And there he is doing a presentation to the public in grand style, Ayrton King, Grade 12 music student from SACS. He does a fine job and is a great example of a confident young SACS man representing not only the school and the aquarium, but our country to the many, many foreign tourists who visit the Waterfront.

Feeding the Penguins and ticking them off as they each get their specially prepared fish meal with added vitamins and minerals.

A view of more Strelitzias, 54 in total, at M&M's home.

My IG2 class doing some revision just before exams.

I went with the school to Grand West to the Tutenkhamun Exhibition. This is a small part of the hundreds of artifacts found by Carter in the sealed tomb.

The great sarcofagus of Tutenkhamun.

Another view of the amazing artifacts from the tomb

This is one of the enclosed 'chapels' found inside the tomb.

Some of the stunning royal jewelery with many examples of the ancient Egyptian symbols embedded.

These are the various sarcofagi that were inside each other until the final one contained his remains - the 18-year-old king who died so early from extensive injuries.

Another view of the sarcofagi.

Gold inlaid Death Mask of Tutenkhamun. Stunning!

Another of the magnificent pieces of furniture from the tomb.

Cobra heads, a recurring theme in the tomb.

Sacred Egyptian dog and ox guarding this edifice.

the Royal Throne.

And his chariot in perfect condition covered in gold leaf.

This is a special photograph. I am a Liverpool FC supporter and I have been since 1962. I only found out on this day that this is the son of the great Dutch Liverpool Goalkeeper and I teach him! Whoa! Sem Westerveld, and now he leaves to live in Holland. This is the only sad thing at ISHB. I get to know the students and sonetime very well and they leave for other lands as so many are just transitory. Luckily friendships and relationships never die and we can pick them up or maintain them on Facebook nowadays too. Thats the magic of social media. I will remember Sem Westerveld.
And so my new chapter gets better every single day. Who thought I would be so blessed to be able to teach again and in such a wonderful environment, but, I will keepmy connection with all my boys at SACS who are so very special to me.
